Privacy policy

Last updated 16 July 2026

ALEA (“we”, “us”) is an applied-AI software studio based in Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect on alea.build, including the studio, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. Questions go to hello@alea.build.

What we collect

How we use it

We use this information to respond to enquiries, to build and share the prototypes you ask the studio for, to keep the studio safe from abuse, to understand which pages and campaigns work, and to improve the product. We do not sell personal information.

Advertising measurement

We advertise on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and LinkedIn, and we measure whether those ads work. That involves:

You can control ad personalisation in your Meta ad preferences and LinkedIn ad settings, and block or clear cookies in your browser at any time.

AI processing in the studio

To build your prototype, the studio sends the public website content and instructions you provide to the AI model providers we work with, solely to generate your result. We do not use your inputs or prototypes to train AI models. Production systems we build for clients run in the client’s own environment and are governed by that client’s agreement, not this policy.

Storage and disclosure

We store data with established cloud infrastructure and email delivery providers, some of which hold data outside Australia (including the United States). We share personal information only with these service providers, with the advertising platforms as described above, or where the law requires it.

Retention

We keep enquiries and saved builds while they are useful for the purpose you gave them to us, and delete or de-identify them when they no longer are. You can ask us to delete yours sooner at any time.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@alea.build. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first and we will try to put it right; you can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears here with an updated date. Material changes to how we use personal information will be flagged on this page.
